Play Volleyball in Sydney

Indoor Volleyball Competitions for Men, Women, Kids & Youth

Immerse yourself in the thrilling game of volleyball at the Y’s Ryde Community Sports Centre or Mt Annan Leisure Centre!

Offering a fantastic combination of athleticism and teamwork, volleyball is fast-paced and delivers a lot of fun. Whether you are a seasoned player or new to the game, there’s a volleyball team for you.

Invented by the YMCA, volleyball is a full body workout that’s a great upper body workout, and can help to build cardiovascular fitness and coordination.

The Y is all about building communities where people thrive in body, mind and spirit. Our volleyball teams in Sydney are no exception. Sign up for our Sydney volleyball tournaments and discover a community that’s welcoming, inclusive and social.

Volleyball involves two rows of players on either side of a elevated dividing net and taking turns to send the ball over the net to the other side. Each team can only touch the ball three times in a row and should it touch the ground, the other team gains points. Winning a game requires players to score 25 points by touching the ball to the ground on the other team’s side of the net. Faults are awarded when plays go against the game rules and result in the other team being awarded points.

Our Sydney volleyball courts offer year-round play, so regardless of the weather or season you can keep playing the Ryde Community Sports Centre or Mt Annan Leisure Centre.
