Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend?

Our Vacation Care services are open to school aged children who are eligible to attend primary school. Whether you are an existing YMCA OSHC family or a new enrolment, you are welcome at any of our Vacation Care services.

To be eligible to use our Vacation Care services, children must be eligible to enrol at school. This includes children attending year 6 in 2019, as well as children attending Kindergarten in 2020. Children eligible to start school in 2020 and attending Vacation Care for the first time, may only attend scheduled excursions if a risk assessment, completed by the coordinator, identifies the child has the required level of maturity.

How much does it cost?

We are a Child Care Subsidy (CCS) eligible service, which means your out of pocket expense will vary based on your individual eligibility requirements. We have listed a full fee amount as well as the maximum reduction available (if eligible for full 85% subsidy).

For your individual fee reduction and to check your CCS eligibility, simply log into MyGov and complete your CCS assessment, or speak to our OSHC Call Centre.

What do I need to bring?

Children are required to bring a water bottle and hat, as well as wear weather suited clothes and closed in shoes. For excursions, children must wear YMCA Vacation Care t-shirt. Children are required to bring their own morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea (unless specified on individual day that lunch will be provided).
