Each Y Space has a team of volunteer Young Leaders who get together to organise events, advocate for young people and build their skills in areas like leadership, event management and more.

If you’re keen to attend a Yspace event or you’d like to get involved in a Young Leaders Team please get in touch.

Y Space Parramatta

Working alongside Parramatta Library staff, The Y NSW youth workers are present within the library precinct from 3-6pm each afternoon Monday-Friday. This program aims to enhance the safety and accessibility of young people in the CBD.  We do this by conducting assertive outreach and linking young people to services that meet their needs. In addition to assisting young people in need, this program also aims to proactively develop new programs and structures to create new opportunities for young people. This includes a young leaders group, as well as a range of other youth-led programs, and workshops.

Outreach workers engage young people in the Parramatta library precinct and create programs based on their needs. This program is funded by Parramatta Council.

Located in the heart of Cooma is Y Space Cooma Youth Hub, a drop-in youth centre for young people aged 12 to 17. It offers a safe and friendly environment for young people to hang out in and is open four days a week.
