Play Outdoor Soccer in Sydney

Outdoor Soccer Competitions for Men, Women, Kids & Youth

Experience the thrill of outdoor soccer with the Y at our Ryde Community Sports Centre! Our friendly competitions are professionally run and seriously fun!

The Y is all about fostering wellbeing and a sense of community, and our soccer programs are no exception. Soccer is an excellent form of exercise offering a full body workout that can help burn calories and improve cardiovascular health. At the Y, you will have a chance to connect with players, make new friends and strengthen your sense of belonging.

The most popular game in the world, soccer is easy to understand, follow and play – unlike more complicated rule-heavy sports played with two teams of 11 players each including goalkeepers and ten outfield players. At Ryde, a variant called six-a-side soccer is played and each game in the game is played across 2 x 16min halves in a 40min time slot. A standard each soccer match is divided into two halves, each lasting 45 minutes each with a 15-minute break at half time. The objective of the game of soccer is to score goals by getting the ball into the opposing team’s net while preventing them from doing the same. It’s a player-focused game where every player has an opportunity to shine!

With divisions covering men’s, women’s and mixed seniors available all year, outdoor soccer is the ideal place for soccer enthusiasts of all ages and abilities at the Y facilities. Whether you are a seasoned soccer player or new to the sport, there’s a team for you! We also offer soccer for kids in Sydney with our Learn to Play program that builds confidents and skills while focusing on fun.
