Group Fitness Classes West Pymble

Welcome to Ku-ring-gai Fitness and Aquatic Centre, where fitness meets community!

Our Group Fitness Classes are designed to elevate your workout experience, foster a sense of camaraderie, and help you achieve your fitness goals in a motivating and energetic environment. Whether you're a fitness enthusiast or just starting your wellness journey, our diverse range of classes caters to all fitness levels.

Our Classes:

GROUP EXERCISE

  • Barbell Strength - The use of resistance equipment and free weights will target each areas of the body for the best possible full-body routine for strength gains, muscle building, toning and shape.
  • Boot camp - A use of multiple facets of training, including Strength, Endurance, Calisthenics, Cardio and Functional movements all tied up into one workout.
  • Body Balance - A choreographed Les Mills program using Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi moves.
  • Body Combat - A Les Mills choreographed class involving bodyweight movements from a boxing and martial arts background. Body Pump - A Les Mill choreographed strength class using weights, barbells and an aerobic step.
  • Outdoor Body Blitz - Outdoor full-body workout incorporating strength for muscle toning, cardio for heart health and athletics for overall functionality.
  • Pilat es - A body conditioning class centred around flexibility, strength and mobility in the trunk, legs and arms. Focus on body alignment and brea thing to improve balance and coordination.
  • PrYme Functional - Suitable for seniors and participants returning to fitness or as part of a rehab program. Incorporates simple cardio and resistance exercises to increase strength, range of motion and coordination.
  • Stretch Fit - Designed to condition the body and create an increase in mobility allowing better muscle growth and elasticity of tendons and joints.
  • Yoga - Finding a calm balance between body and mind. Breathing and relaxation will be at the forefront.
  • Zumba - Involves dance and aerobic elements of hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa and merengue.

SMALL GROUP TRAINING

  • Body Blitz - A combination of ca rdio and freestyle weight training to build aerobic fitness and muscle mass.
  • Boxing - Formatted as a circuit-style session, participants will go through a series of boxing and martial arts movements that build speed, power, quickness and athletic endurance.
  • Circuit - Full body based training session formatted into a circuit of movements, exercises or stations.
  • Core - Class based around trunk stability, strength and balance with a high emphasis on abdominal exercises.
  • Functional - A resistance based class designed a round our body’s natural movement patterns. The workout involves a variety of squatting, lifting, pulling and rotational movements.
  • HIIT - Consists of short blocks of intensive exercise designed to increase your heart rate quickly followed by a short rest or active recovery exercise. Includes the movements and ma chines of row, run, ski, cycle, plyometrics and resistance/ weighted exercises.
  • HIIT + Core - A combination of high intensity with cardio and weights along with an abdominal workout.
  • Gym Spin - A combination of cycling and strength work designed to work all the major muscle groups.
  • Strength and Conditioning - Designed to condition the body and create an increase in mobility allowing better muscle growth and elasticity of tendons and joints.
  • Teen Gym - Teen gym is a class designed for 11-15 years olds. The ca ss follows a circuit format using a variety of equipment. Teen open access to the gym for self-use of the facility and training under fitness instructor supervision 3:30-5pm.
