The Y NSW’s Hawkesbury Oasis Aquatic and Fitness Centre has been recognised for its service and ongoing commitment to the community at the 2022 Hawkesbury Local Business Awards.
Oasis won the Most Outstanding Fitness Services Award at the red-carpet event on Wednesday 3 August, which celebrates the achievements of businesses in the Hawkesbury region.
The centre, managed by the Y NSW on behalf of Hawkesbury City Council, offers a range of aquatics and fitness services for the local community and beyond, including seniors and teen fitness programs, swimming lessons, small group training, aqua aerobics and creche.
Our highly qualified staff are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to all members and guests, and the award is a testament to the ongoing commitment of our team.
Acting Cluster Manager Stacey Kenny said the team was incredibly honoured to be recognised by the local community.
She thanked all staff members for making “the centre what it is” and everyone who has walked through its doors and become part of the Y family.
Ms Kenny said the centre’s success was a team effort and highlighted the passion and dedication of all staff members, including leaders, fitness staff, lifeguards, swim instructors, squad coaches, customer service and creche teams.
With the support of the Hawkesbury community, Oasis has emerged from the challenges of the past two years with strong fitness membership numbers and an unprecedented boost in swim school enrolments this year.
The centre is also dedicated to maintaining a strong presence in the Hawkesbury, with staff delivering regular water safety talks at local schools and participating in outreach programs at local events.
