Running for youth: the Y NSW raises $34,000 through City2Surf

The world's oldest and largest youth organisation participated in the world's largest fun run last weekend! The Y NSW raised $34,000 for its flagship Youth Parliament program through City2Surf, exceeding the organisation’s goal of $25,000!

Youth Parliament is a leadership and civic engagement program that has empowered more than 2,000 young people over the past 25 years. The program provides participants with opportunities to build confidence, develop leadership skills, connect with their peers, and have their voices heard on issues that matter to them. Funds raised through City2Surf will help remove financial barriers to participation, making it possible for any young person to access the program and contribute their ideas, perspectives and experiences.

The Y NSW extends its gratitude to everyone who took part in City2Surf and proudly represented the organisation, as well as the many individual donors and supporters who contributed to the fundraising effort.

$16,000 was raised through the Y NSW’s Grassrootz fundraising page, and the remaining funds came from incredible sponsors. Thank you to Enablis, Life Fitness, Cleansurance, Next Technologies, IT Architecture, and Cinettica for your generous support enabling the Y NSW to ensure young people across the state are supported, connected, and thriving!

While the event may be over, there is still time to support Youth Parliament through the Y NSW's City2Surf fundraising page and help create opportunities for the next generation of young leaders.
