At the Y NSW, this program is designed for beginners aged five to 10. These engaging weekly sessions introduce kids to a variety of sports while helping them build confidence, develop fundamental movement skills, and enjoy being active. From running and throwing to coordination games and teamwork activities, your child will experience a range of sports through fun play and guidance from experienced instructors.
Our Learn to Play sessions in Penrith are designed to help kids develop skills and confidence in a fun, friendly, inclusive, and supportive environment. With experienced, qualified coaches and a safe venue, all your child needs to do is show up, join in, and have fun.
At the Y NSW Penrith, we do more than teach sport, we help kids grow through movement and play. Families love our multi-sport program because it’s beginner-friendly, fun, and supportive. Our Learn to Play sessions cater specifically to kids aged five to 10 who are new to organised sport, so no prior experience is needed. Kids get to try a variety of sports and activities while developing core skills like running, throwing, catching, balance, and teamwork through engaging games and drills that keep them active and excited.
Beyond physical skills, participating in sport helps children build confidence, improve communication, and make new friends in a team environment. At the Y, we’re committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space where children of all ages and abilities can thrive.
We offer Multi-Sport sessions every Thursday from 4:30-5:30pm during school terms.
