Where all the adventure and fun begin

Here at the Y Winston Hills OSHC, we make sure holidays are about fun! We provide a range of Vacation Care activities that children look forward to, including arts, crafts, cooking activities, sports, dance and drama. No matter what your child is interested in, we will plan school holiday activities to suit.

Our Vacation Care program offers a variety of activities, including workshops and excursions. Our activities keep children entertained, engaged and explore their adventurous side.

To be eligible to use our Vacation Care services, children must be enrolled at school or school aged.

EXCURSION | Allianz Stadium Tour

Children will enjoy a fun and active behind-the-scenes tour of the brand-new Allianz Stadium. This exciting experience lets children explore the players’ change rooms, see the field from a commentator’s point of view, discover Tony Albert’s award-winning seating design and other public artworks, and uncover the inner workings of this world-class venue. With plenty of interactive games and activities, children will feel like sports stars as they explore one of Australia’s most exciting new stadiums. This excursion is most appropriate for children in Years 2 and up. Arrive at service by 9am.

DAY CAMP | Under the Sea

Under the Sea Day will take children on a deep-sea adventure filled with creativity, fun, and discovery! Throughout the day, they’ll enjoy ocean-inspired crafts like making jellyfish streamers and colourful fish, dive into exciting water games, and join in themed challenges that spark teamwork and imagination. The day encourages curiosity about marine life while giving children plenty of chances to get active, messy, and creative — all while feeling like true ocean explorers.

WORKSHOP | Glowtastic Creations

Step into a world of glowing creativity with our Glowtastic Creations experience! In this vibrant and engaging workshop, children will create eye-catching masterpieces that come to life under UV light. Using a variety of different techniques, children will enjoy hands-on artistic fun as they explore bright neon colours and glowing effects. With activities adaptable to all ages and skill levels, every child will leave with a unique glow-in-the-dark artwork to take home and treasure. Workshop starts at 1:30pm.

WORKSHOP | Get Smart Boxing

Get Smart Boxing is an energetic and engaging workshop designed specifically for children at Vacation Care, promoting fitness, focus, and fun through non-contact boxing activities. Led by qualified instructors, the session teaches basic boxing techniques, coordination drills, and teamwork exercises in a safe and supportive environment. Children will build confidence, improve their physical skills, and learn the importance of discipline and resilience. This high-energy experience is suitable for all fitness levels and encourages a positive, healthy approach to movement and wellbeing. Workshop starts at 1pm.

EXCURSION | Springtime Safari at Lizard Log

In this hands-on nature safari, children will be guided by experienced education rangers as they roam through the park, discover hidden animal homes, and spot bugs, birds, and new blooms along the way. They’ll take part in a bug and habitat hunt, learn to make their own cordage, and build an insect hotel to support the local ecosystem. This immersive experience is all about getting hands-on with nature, sparking curiosity, and giving back to the environment. This excursion is most appropriate for children in Kindergarten to Year 6, however involves quite a bit of walking. Arrive at service by 12pm.

DAY CAMP | Peace, Love and Play: Hippy Day Camp

Get ready for a colourful celebration of the 70s with tie-dye fun, retro games, flower power crafts, and music that gets everyone grooving! Children are encouraged to come dressed in their best 70s-inspired outfits—think flares, peace signs, and bright colours. Throughout the day, they’ll take part in hands-on activities like making DIY peace necklaces, flower crowns, and psychedelic art. This day is all about creativity, self-expression, and good vibes—perfect for celebrating the fun and freedom of the flower power era!

EXCURSION | Indigenous Wildlife Experience

Join us for an exciting day at Sydney Zoo, where children will take part in the Bungarribee Wildlife Experience—a fun and educational program that introduces them to a range of iconic Australian animals. During this hands-on experience, children will engage with wildlife up close and learn about the importance of caring for Country, our native animals, and their habitats. This interactive program encourages curiosity, respect for the environment, and a deeper understanding of Aboriginal perspectives on nature and sustainability. This excursion is most appropriate for Kindergarten to Year 4 children, however involves some walking. Arrive at service by 10am.

Get ready for a burst of fun and colour with our Colour Run Day Camp! Children will enjoy an energetic day filled with exciting running games, music, and plenty of vibrant, washable colour powder to throw and wear. This lively event encourages teamwork, fitness, and outdoor play in a safe and supportive environment. Along the way, children will take part in colourful craft activities and challenges that celebrate movement and creativity. Please have your child wear old clothes that can get messy, as this activity involves lots of colourful powder and paint. It’s a joyful, high-energy day designed to get everyone laughing, moving, and shining bright!

Get ready to tumble, jump, and balance your way through an action-packed day at The Y Epping Gymnastics! This exciting excursion gives children the chance to explore a variety of gymnastics activities in a safe, supportive environment led by experienced coaches. Children will develop strength, coordination, flexibility, and confidence as they try out different equipment like balance beams, trampolines, mats, and bars. Whether they’re beginners or have some gymnastics experience, all skill levels are welcome to join the fun. This energetic day promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and perseverance—plus, it’s a fantastic way for children to challenge themselves while having a blast! This excursion is most appropriate for children in Kindergarten to Year 6. Arrive at service by 10:30am.

Join us for a fun-filled day at Bungarribee Park, where children will have plenty of space to run, play, and explore the great outdoors! Surrounded by beautiful parklands, children will enjoy the fresh air while building teamwork and social skills through cooperative games and challenges. Whether racing across open fields or participating in fun group activities, this adventure encourages physical activity, creativity, and connection with nature. A perfect day for fun, friends, and outdoor play! Arrive at service by 11:30am.

Child Care Subsidy

As a not-for-profit provider, the Y NSW works hard to keep the cost of care as low as possible to support all children to access high quality early learning. The Y NSW is an approved provider of the Child Care Subsidy for Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and may be available to eligible families.
