Pickleball

Pickleball is a low-impact sport that is easy to learn and play at almost any age! Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis.

Whether you were an early adopter of the sport, or just hearing of it for the first time now, we’d love you to get involved, build skills, have fun, and make connections at one of our community sport and leisure centres!

Our drop-in Pickleball games run throughout the week and on weekends, providing a fun and friendly environment to be active and stay connected. The Y NSW proudly hosts Forster Pickleball at Great Lakes Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

How To Play Pickleball

Pickleball is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes, and it can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. The game is played on a smaller court, making it an excellent option for those who want a fast-paced and exciting sport without the intensity of larger court games.
Our pickleball competitions are structured to ensure a mix of competition and fun. Games typically consist of two or three sets, and players rotate through serving to keep the game lively.

Stay in shape and enjoy an aerobic workout while having fun on the court with pickleball. The Y's leisure centres provide top-notch facilities, and our qualified referees ensure fair play and a positive experience for all participants.

At the Y, we make it affordable for you to enjoy being part of a pickleball team! We keep insurance and competition costs to a minimum as we focus on welcoming everybody.
