The Bennelong Sports Centre is proud to be home to the Eastwood Ryde Netball Association (ERNA), one of the region’s largest and longest-standing netball associations.
Made up of 22 affiliated clubs and supported by a strong network of volunteers, ERNA connects players from across Ryde and surrounding areas including Hornsby, Parramatta, Carlingford, Epping, Beecroft, Baulkham Hills, the Hills District and Lane Cove.
As the anchor tenant of the Bennelong Sports Centre, ERNA plays a central role in bringing the facility to life, supporting a vibrant netball community and creating opportunities for participation at all levels.
For more than 70 years, ERNA has been part of the local sporting landscape, offering junior, senior and mixed competitions, and supporting players, coaches, umpires and administrators through every stage of their journey. From grassroots' participation through to higher pathways, netball continues to play an important role in supporting physical health, confidence and community connection.
With a long and proud history in the area, from early games played at Brush Farm and Meadowbank to today’s modern facilities, ERNA continues to provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved in the game.
