Where all the adventure and fun begin

Here at the Y Mayfield West OSHC, we make sure school holidays are fun! We provide a range of Vacation Care activities that children look forward to, including arts, crafts, cooking activities, sports, dance and drama. No matter what your child is interested in, we will plan school holiday activities to suit.

Our Vacation Care program offers a variety of activities, including workshops and excursions. Our activities keep children entertained, engaged and explore their adventurous side.

To be eligible to use our Vacation Care services, children must be enrolled at school or school aged.

TUE 7 APR	DAY CAMP \| Master Chiefs Apron? On. Chef’s hat? Slightly crooked but ready. Wooden spoon? In hand. Let’s get cooking! We’ll chop the veggies, stir the sauces, and mix up something amazing. The kitchen’s about to smell incredible — a little sizzle here, a dash of spice there as we put together a mystery chef special.	Full fee $66.60
WED 8 APR	EXCURSION \| Stockton Park Looking for fresh air and park fun? Stockton Park is the perfect place to relax, play, and explore! Join us at 10am to leave for a day of fun in the sun as we watch the boats in the busy harbour, explore the park, enjoy a picnic and play sports of the field before returning at 1pm.	Full fee $104.60
THU 9 APR	EXCURSION \| The Yard Newcastle Want to build, explore, investiagte and create? Come with us to check out an exclusive session at The Yard Newcastle! Reimagine the world of play as we explore the amazing resources to ignite our risky play curiosity. From the indoor 'Makery' section and their outdoor 'Exploritorium' section, explore a world of building, mixing, creating in the mud kitchen, art making and crafting from 10am to 12pm.	Full fee $104.60
FRI 10 APR	WORKSHOP \| Bricks 4 Kids Calling all young builders! Wear lego inspired outfits and get ready to create, imagine, and bring animals to life with LEGO bricks! Join the fun, build your wild world, and let your imagination roar as Nicole for Bricks 4 Kids joins us again from 10am - 12pm.	Full fee $94.60

MON 13 APR	WORKSHOP \| Joey Presto Magic with Joey Presto – Featuring LIVE Rabbits! Get ready for giggles, gasps and amazing surprises as Joey Presto joins for a spectacular magic show packed with mind-blowing tricks, lots of laughs, fun audience participation and real live rabbits appearing before your eyes! And the magic doesn’t stop there… after the show, children can enjoy a hands-on teaching session and learn simple tricks to perform at home from 11am! See the magic. Meet the rabbits. TUE 14 APR	WORKSHOP \| Exergames Survival Welcome to our Survival-Themed Exergames Adventure — where YOU are the hero! Every move counts - Run, balance, climb and react fast to survive the ultimate active gaming challenge and avoid elimination. It’s not just a game… it’s a mission! Move your body, Think fast, Survive the challenge from 1245pm to 215pm. Do you have what it takes to win?	Full fee $94.60
WED 15 APR	DAY CAMP \| Mayfield Bowls Swap your screens for some real-life fun! Come and try lawn bowls with us for a day of stragey. It’s easier than you think and twice as exciting! Aim, roll, cheer your friends on, and celebrate everyones awesome shots from 10am to 1130am.	Full fee $66.60
THU 16 APR	DAY CAMP \| Cowie and Usk Street Reserve Let venture out! Head down to Cowie & Usk Street Park in Mayfield with open green spaces, play equipment, and plenty of room to run, lets change up our park experience! From 10am to 12pm, we will explore and navigate the new park experience.	Full fee $66.60
FRI 17 APR	EXCURSION \| Ranger Jamie Foreshore Adventure Ever caught a CRAB before?! If you havent join us with our beloved Rangers from Ranger Jamie at Newcastle Foreshore for a day of interative fun! Starting at 10:30am, get to know your Ranger before heading off to catch the biggest bugs and crabs you can find. Continue on a coastal walk as you enjoy the fresh coastal breeze, then head over to building the best shelter for coastal animals to finish off the day off at 2:30pm, back to service by 3pm.	Full fee $104.60

DAY CAMP | Camp Day

Adventure is calling! Join us for a camp inspired day packed with hands-on fun and outdoor excitement. Right here at OSHC engage in Team challenges & action-packed games, Tarp building – design and build your own shelter, Nature crafts and creative activities, Camp style snacks & storytelling. Work together, get creative, and put your problem-solving skills to the test as you build, explore, and play. Come dressed in your camping attired for all the fun of camping in one unforgettable day!

DAY CAMP | Messy Play Day

Are you ready to squish, splash, splat and create? What better way to end the holidays by putting on the Messiest Play Day ever! Filled with bright paints, bubbly foam, gooey slime, sensory sand, silly spaghetti fun and more - It’s a day where it’s OK to get messy! Wear your old clothes, bring your big smiles, and get ready for hands-on fun that lets your imagination run wild.

Let’s mix, pour, scoop and explore together — because the messier it gets, the more fun we have! 🎉

As a not-for-profit provider, the Y NSW works hard to keep the cost of care as low as possible to support all children to access high quality early learning. The Y NSW is an approved provider of the Child Care Subsidy for Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and may be available to eligible families.
