Vacation Care

Where all the adventure and fun begin

Here at the Y Dee Why OSHC, we make sure holidays are about fun! We provide a range of Vacation Care activities that children look forward to, including arts, crafts, cooking activities, sports, dance and drama. No matter what your child is interested in, we will plan school holiday activities to suit.

Our Vacation Care program offers a variety of activities, including incursions and excursions. Our activities keep children entertained, engaged and explore their adventurous side.

To be eligible to use our Vacation Care services, children must be enrolled at school or school aged.

If your required date is unavailable within MyFamilyLounge, please submit a request to join our waitlist below. We will then contact you in the event that a place becomes available on your requested date. Please note, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to the date required for care.

WEEK 1
TUE 6 APR

WORKSHOP | 9D Cinema Experience

Put on your 3D glasses and experience the combination of augmented reality and virtual reality. Choose from a variety of short films. Permission note needs to be signed and returned to the service prior to workshop.

WORKSHOP | Old Macdonald’s Farm

Here’s your opportunity to meet and greet up to 30 small & baby animals. You can hand and bottle feed, cuddle and pet your favourite farm animals. Allergies should be communicated to the service prior to the day.

DAY CAMP | Hoppy Hunting

Join us for a day of Easter craft and activities. Make a basket to collect eggs, make a carrot cake to feed the Easter Bunny and finger paint a huge Easter egg. Food allergies/intolerances should be communicated to the service prior to the day.

EXCURSION | Bowling and Laser Tag

Bring your friends along for a day of play at Zone Bowling under Dee Why RSL. Followed by a play at Dee Why Park on the way back! Permission note needs to be signed and returned to the service prior to excursion. Departure from service is 10am sharp and return is approx. 3pm.

MON 12 APR

EXCURSION | Gymnastics

Starting the day at Dee Why Park. Then we will flip and tumble our way over to the Y St Ives to do Gymnastics. Permission note needs to be signed and returned to the service prior to excursion.
Bus departs from the service at 11:40am sharp.
Return to service is approx. 4:40pm.
Please note the other times on the permission slip.

WORKSHOP | Skate Now

Learn or practice your skateboarding skills with Skate Now! Permission note needs to be signed and returned to the service prior to workshop. Please note time of workshop on the note.

DAY CAMP | Glamour Up

This is your opportunity to embrace your most glamourous self. Whether it be crazy hair dos, relaxing facials or much needed meditation. Today is all about your best self! Permission note needs to be signed and returned to the service prior to day camp. Allergies should be communicated to the service prior to the day.

WORKSHOP | Aim 4 Fun Laser Tag

Attention Troops! You have been enlisted to join the Y in this laser tag experience. Rain or shine the mission must go on. Permission note needs to be signed and returned to the service prior to workshop.
Workshop starts at 1:30pm.

DAY CAMP | Movie & Wheels Day

Back by popular demand! Bring your wheels and ride the day away. Bring your bike, scooter or skateboard. Enjoy some popcorn and treats while watching a movie to finish the day. Permission note needs to be signed and returned to the service prior to day camp.

MON 19 APR

DAY CAMP | The Colour Project

Let’s do things with colour. Tye dye or fabric paint one of your shirts, bake a rainbow cupcake or face paint a friend. Children need to provide a white shirt to tye dye or fabric paint.
Food allergies/intolerances should be communicated to the centre prior to the day.

What to bring

Children must have a hat, enclosed shoes, water bottle and bring their lunch and sufficient snacks for the day. We provide morning tea each day. Please remember we are a nut free service - no foods containing nuts can be brought into the centre. Children should also bring any personal items to support their individual care needs (e.g. medication or change of clothes).

What to wear

For day camps and workshops, children must wear appropriate clothing for the season, a broad-brimmed hat and enclosed shoes. Please note, the Y NSW is a sun-safe service and children are encouraged to have shoulders covered.
