The Y NSW acknowledges Broken Hill City Council’s decision to appoint a new operator for the Broken Hill Regional Aquatic Centre from 1 July 2026.
We are incredibly proud of the role we’ve played in operating the Centre and supporting the Broken Hill community over many years. Together with Broken Hill Council, our team has worked hard to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for people of all ages to connect, stay active and build confidence in and around the water.
Our focus now is on supporting a smooth and respectful transition for staff, customers and the community.
Importantly, the Y NSW remains part of the Broken Hill community. We will continue to operate the Y Broken Hill Integrated Wellness Centre, with no changes to memberships, programs or services. Our team remains here, continuing to support the health, wellbeing and connection of the community.
The Y has been part of the Broken Hill community since 1890, and that commitment continues. We remain dedicated to creating positive impact through our programs, partnerships and services across the region.
We thank our staff, members and the broader community for their ongoing support and look forward to continuing to serve Broken Hill.
