Who we are
At YMCA NSW, we strive to connect people to their communities to live healthier, happier lives. Our commitment to healthy living, empowering young people and delivering social impact is what drives us. This is what we have been about since we first opened our doors over 160 years ago, and we’re proud to influence the wellbeing of more than four million people annually across the state.
You can find us at over 100 locations across NSW and the ACT including camps, before and after school care, community recreation and sporting facilities, swimming pools and youth services. We deliver inclusive programs that meet community needs, and raise funds to help make our activities accessible for everyone. We also work with government, corporate and community partners who are also committed to improving the health and happiness of all across the state.
Our recreation programs are about more than fitness, our children’s services provide more than just childcare, and our camps are not simply holidays. Their underlying purpose is to connect people to their communities to learn, grow and thrive, and it is our hope that we motivate people to participate in healthier lifestyles.
YMCA NSW recognises that child protection is a community responsibility and we are committed to providing an environment where children and young people can learn and grow, are respected and valued and feel happy and safe.
