Important update for Y Penrith Fitness Members

Dear Members,

We know you can’t wait to get back into the gym, so whilst we continue to work through a staged reopening of programs at Penrith City YMCA, we are providing access for our Penrith Y fitness members to our Western Sydney University (WSU) Gym at Kingswood from 6am on Monday 22 June.

The WSU Gym is a short drive from Penrith Y and will be offering the following services;
•    Complimentary parking on campus
•    Extensive range of equipment available across two floors
•    Group Fitness Classes including Yoga, PrYme, Body Pump, CrossFit, Bootcamp plus more
•    Outdoor courts for hire through Campus Life
•    Access to the two linked WSU Gyms at Hawkesbury and Bankstown

Whilst we understand you may be eager to return to Penrith Y for training and programs, we are still working through the staged reopening of Penrith Y in light of COVID 19.

Direct Debit Billing Recommencement

All Direct Debit memberships were placed on suspension from Monday 23rd March to Sunday 21st June 2020. This placed these accounts in a credited balance of four days.

For members wishing to recommence their membership at the Western Sydney University (WSU) Gym at Kingswood please notify us by clicking here no later than 5pm, 30 June 2020.

For members opting in, Direct Debits will recommence on Friday 3rd July 2020 for all fitness memberships.

For those opting in, on Friday 3rd July you will be billed for;

•    Billing Period in arrears:
Monday 22nd June to Thursday 2nd July (eleven days)
Due to accounts being in credit of four days, you will effectively be billed for seven days; i.e. half of your usual fee.

•    Two Weeks in advance (normal billing cycle)
Friday 3rd July to Thursday 16th July

You are welcome to suspend your membership until we are able to reopen Fitness at Penrith Y if you wish, or attend any of our open centres by booking casually online.

At this stage, our fees and charges for a casual visit to the gym and group fitness classes is $7.50 and must be booked online.

Upfront Memberships and Visit Passes
Customers holding a current upfront membership will have an extension to the expiry date of those memberships to compensate for the closure period. For example, a one-month upfront membership that expired after the closure, will be extended by the number of days impacted by the closure.

Your membership fees remain unchanged during the time you access the Western Sydney University Gym at Kingswood.

To ensure a safe return for our customers and adherence to COVIDSafe requirements we announce the following;

Online Bookings
We will be launching an online booking platform for all of our group fitness classes and casual visits. Please be aware that bookings open 48 hours prior to your class. Members accessing classes are still required to book into classes via this platform, while casual visitors are required to pay the casual fee when making an online booking.

Click here to view the full online booking and terms and conditions.

Fitness Passport
At this stage, we cannot confirm when Fitness Passport billing will be re-activated and we ask members of the Fitness Passport program to book online and pay the required casual fee. We will provide updates as soon as we can on this program.

Bookings for Gym Access
Whilst we do not require members to book online to attend a gym session, to comply with COVID Safe practices, all members are required to sign in using their membership card and adhere to all in centre COVID Safe practices and standard conditions of entry. Members must ensure they book online for classes.

We do however, require non-members to book online for gym access and classes. This is to ensure we meet the required contract tracing requirements. Click here to book online for your casual visit group fitness class.

COVIDSafe Video

Please view our COVIDSafe Video for a sneak peek at what you can expect on site. We encourage all members to be prepared for all of the changes that we will need to implement for a safe return for us all.
