
The Y NSW is currently seeking expressions of interest to fill three (3) Non-Executive Directors roles. As part of the oldest and largest youth organisation in the world, the Y is passionate about nurturing potential and providing safe spaces where young people can grow, learn, move and thrive.
With a purpose of believing in the power of inspired young people by focusing on healthy living, empowerment and social impact, the successful candidates will contribute to the Y NSW’s strategy and direction for the children and young people of today.
The Board meets six times per year and the successful candidate will also be expected to be part of one of the three (Risk & Finance, Strategy & Innovation, People & Culture) Committees, which also meet approximately six times per year.
Outside of Board meetings, there are several events and presentations that Directors may attend.
Across the three casual vacancy positions, we are looking to advance the following Board skills:
- Corporate communications, marketing and brand;
- Ethics / compliance;
- Information technology;
- Deep understanding of key Y business lines;
- Youth engagement / voice.
- Cyber Security;
- Property and Asset Management;
- Risk Management; and
- Corporate Accounting.
You will be joining an experienced Board with members who have a passion for empower the youth of today and are constantly striving to progress the organisation.

Your initial appointment to the Board will fill a casual vacancy and will be subject to a vote at the AGM in December 2023.
