Gym programs

The Y NSW Health and Fitness Programs are able to cater to your school for your next school education program, PE program, and school sport.

We have qualified coaches, referees and instructors that coach and supervise the students, keeping the groups engaged and active.

We offer:

Structured group fitness classes e.g. Boxing, HIIT, Circuit, Yoga and more
Guided and tailored progressive fitness programs for students and educators on how to exercise safely and effectively
Fitness testing (ask for more details on what fitness tests are available)

Facilities available

Pricing and payment

There are two options of payment for schools; cash on arrival or invoice to an account.
Please note that schools who cancel or no-show without following the cancellation policy will incur a penalty invoiced to their account.

General Booking
The Y NSW fitness session (60 minutes)	$ 10.20 / student
Ratio of instructor to children	1 : 25 (general fitness)

Instructor fee (required for tailored sessions and supervision of a trainer)

* Please note that these prices are a guideline and can be used in combination depending on activity, facilities needed, number of students booked and number of staff required. The centre can provide you with specific cost for your booking at time of confirmation.

Making a booking

In order to make a booking, schools must fill out a Booking Request Form. Please contact us to obtain this form. This form should then be returned to the centre in person or via email. After we have received your form, you will be contacted by the centre to confirm your chosen date, activity and times.

Once the booking has been approved, all students must fill out a Getting YOU Started Form. This must be returned to the Y prior to commencing the program.

Safety and supervision

All schools are provided with a copy of the Centre’s Conditions of Entry. Our staff will review rules with children upon arrival however, we ask that children are informed of these policies prior to arriving at the centre.

*Please note that due to industry guidelines, certain activities will be restricted for those under the age of 15 years.

School swimming programs

The Y offers the Y NSW Swimming Lessons or the Y NSW Water Safety Program.
The Y NSW Swimming Lessons are provided by nationally accredited swimming instructors. Lessons work towards all four competitive strokes – freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly – as well as personal survival skills that will keep your students safe in the water.

The Y NSW Water Safety Program educates students on safety at home, beaches, rivers and lakes. Lessons may include, survival strokes, CPR awareness, personal flotation devices (PDF) and rescues.
Optional lessons may include: theory, practical or both.

We can run the Y Water Safety Program sessions in-centre or at your school site.

Duration: 45 minute sessions (depending on the activity chosen, price may vary during term in the financial year).

Ratio per class:

1:10 Price: $7.30 per student / session
8 Price: $9.10 per student / session

If schools have varying student numbers for session times, there may be additional costs associated based on staffing requirements.
