Learn To Play Basketball

Little Dribblers (3.5 - 5 years)

Little dribblers are skill-based programs are designed for young children and parents to have fun and learn new skills while developing hand-eye coordination, balance, good sense of timing, active movement, learning, communication and confidence through music and movement in a safe & nurturing environment.

Stage One 

(5 - 9 years) & (10 - 16 years)

A beginner school-aged level where participants will learn the basics of basketball including dribbling, shooting, passing and defence. The emphasis of this stage is developing the fundamental skills essential to basketball and preparing participants for local competition.

Stage Two (5 - 16 years)

Participants in this stage should already be able to competently shoot with correct technique and dribble with both hands. This stage will work on all basic skills covered in stage one and include a further emphasis on footwork, layups and advanced defensive skills.

Stage Three (5 - 16 years)

This stage is for children with advanced skills and a vast understanding of basketball. Participants will already be able to competently execute layups from one or both sides, jump shot with correct technique, jump and stride stops and correct defensive positioning in-game. Children in this stage will work on advanced skill-building and in-game scenarios and upon completion should be able to competently enter the representative competition.

Fees and charges

Little Dribblers - $20.40 fortnightly direct debited from a bank account or credit card.

Learn To Play - $32.00 fortnightly direct debited from a bank account or credit card.

Classes run through the school term and stop for school holidays.
